Candy cane candles are just like any other available in the market, except they have colors of candy cane pink, white, and red layered in a beautiful pattern to give it more of an aesthetic appeal, along with candy cane fragrance oil, making your home ready for holidays. Different types of apothecary jars can be used for a twist in the design and overall feel of the peppermint candy candles.

Recipe 1 - DIY Candy Cane Candle

Ingredients:

  • 12 Grams of Candy Cane Fragrance Oil
  • 18 Ounces of Soy Wax
  • Red Spectrum Candle Dye
  • 2-3 Peppermint Candy Cane

  • Stainless steel mixing spoon
  • Double boiler/ large pan

How to Make Candy Cane Candle

Step 1: Always wear gloves when working with melted/ hot wax.

Step 2: A double boiler or large pan will melt the soy wax at 195 degrees.

Step 3: When soy wax is melted, take 4 ounces in a paper bowl. Leave the remaining soy wax in the double boiler at a low temperature.

Step 4: Please check the wax temperature in a bowl until it reaches 180 degrees. Add one drop of red spectrum candle dye and 12 grams of candy cane fragrance oil. Stir them together.

Step 5: Add the pink wax you just made into an apothecary jar in a thin layer.

Step 6: While placing a wick in the jar, wrap one end of the pencil to keep it positioned in one place and the other end in the jar before the pink wax dries. After a while, let the wax sit until it is completely cool.

Step 7: Again, weigh 4 ounces of wax in a paper bowl from the boiler/ large pan to make the white candy cane layer.

Step 8: Let the wax temperature in the bowl reach 180 degrees before adding 12 grams of candy cane fragrance oil. Pour the white layer into the jar and let it sit completely cool.

Step 9: Now, we have to prepare the red layer. Repeat the process of scaling 4 ounces in a paper bowl.

Step 10: Once the wax’s temperature reaches 180 degrees, add two drops of red spectrum candle dye and 12 grams of candy cane fragrance oil and stir to get the red soy wax mixture. Pour the red wax into the jar and let it cool.

Step 11: Repeat the above method until the jar is filled with different white, pink, and red wax colors.

Step 12: Once the layers have hardened, remove the pencil and cut the wick short.

Step 13: Place a few peppermint candy canes at the top of the hardened wax for decoration, giving it a lively look.

Your DIY candy cane candle is ready to be used with family and friends to create a festive environment.

Recipe 2 - DIY Peppermint Candy Cane Candle

Ingredients:

Peppermint essential oil

Supplies

  • Scale
  • Paper bowl
  • Apothecary Jar
  • Pencil
  • Stainless Steel Mixing Spoon
  • Double Boiler/ Large Pan
  • Gloves

Homemade Peppermint Candy Candles:

Step 1: Wear gloves.

Step 2: Stick the wick to the bottom of an apothecary jar.

Step 3: Take the ribbons and peppermint candy cane to decorate the outside of the jar. Ribbons can be wrapped around the jar in a circular pattern, while peppermint candy canes can be placed at the bottom.Melt soy wax in a double boiler/ large pan.

Step 4: When the soy wax is melted, add 15-20 drops of peppermint essential oil and stir.

Step 5: Use a pencil to keep the wick upright and in place. Add some soy wax into the jar and let it cool.

Step 6: Sprinkle some crushed candy cane on the hardened soy wax. Pour some more soy wax and sprinkle some more candy cane. Keep repeating the process until the jar is full.

Step 7: Let the wax cool and harden in a cool, dry place. When the wax is hardened, trim the wick.
