But the calming plant is capable of more than just enhancing our internal health. Many skincare products designed to relax, heal, and soothe skin contain chamomile, and there is an excellent reason for this if you pay attention to the ingredient lists on beauty goods. It has a strong anti-inflammatory effect on the skin since it contains apigenin, a powerful antioxidant.

What Does Chamomile Body Butter Do?

Chamomile contains anti-inflammatory qualities and is excellent for skin that is prone to acne. It can effectively dry out your acne and reduce redness and inflammation. Additionally, it battles hyperpigmentation and red patches while gently eliminating microorganisms, and it shields the skin from oxidative damage.

The chamomile plant's essential oils have anti-microbial characteristics that shield the skin from specific viruses, fungus, and bacteria. Two potent antioxidants present in chamomile that help slow down the aging process are polyphenols and phytochemicals. These free radicals can be fought using antioxidants, which are present in chamomile.

This natural body butter deeply nourishes your skin from the outside, helping inflamed, irritated skin in particular. It also works fantastically as a facial moisturizer for all skin types, a great nail conditioner, and a fantastic washing cream. A restorative after-sun cream, it also works well to hydrate the ends of dry, frizzy hair when used lightly. Here is how you can make it:

Ingredients List:

  • Chamomile Infused Olive Oil - ¾ cup
  • Coconut Oil - ¼ cup
  • Beeswax - 2 Tablespoon
  • Shea Butter - 1 Tablespoon
  • Chamomile Hydrosol - 1 Cup
  • Glycerin - 1 Tablespoon
  • Vitamin E Oil - 10 Capsules
  • German Chamomile Essential Oil - 30 Drops
  • Roman Chamomile Essential Oil - 30 Drops

Method:

Step 1: Warm the shea butter, beeswax, coconut oil, and olive oil in a double boiler or small saucepan over low heat until the solids are almost melted.

Step 2: Warm the vegetable glycerin and hydrosol in a separate, smaller pan while stirring the mixture occasionally until the glycerin dissolves.

Step 3: Add the oils, wax, and shea butter combination to a blender and let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes to cool.

Step 4: Place the lid on the blender now, and take out the plastic piece in the middle of the lid. Set the blender's speed to medium. Pour a thin stream of glycerin and water through the center of the lid.

Step 5: The cream will change from off-white to extremely pale yellow and start to thicken.

Step 6: After stopping the mixer, add in the essential oils and vitamin E oil.

Step 7: Place the top back on, and mix for an additional 5 to 10 seconds, or until the body butter is thick and smooth. It should be a light shade of greenish blue.

Step 8: Pour the completed body butter into dark glass containers.

Step 9: Before capping, lightly cover each container with a paper towel and let the mixture cool for about 30 minutes.

Step 10: It's recommended to keep this body butter in a cool, dark cabinet. Use it within 60-90 days.

Step 11: After taking a bath or shower, apply this butter on damp skin and massage it thoroughly.
