  • Stirring Utensils

Instructions

  1. Melt Wax & Color: Place a pouring pitcher in a half-filled pot of water on a low simmer. Weigh and melt a portion of the Soy Wax and Yellow Beeswax. Add a few generous pinches of Violet Candle Color as it melts and stir until completely incorporated.
  2. Fragrance & Pour Embeds: Remove from heat when fully melted and reaches 185° F. Slowly stir in a portion of the Dark Rose Labdanum Fragrance Oil for 1-2 minutes. Once cooled to 160° F pour the wax into your Flower Pattern Silicone Mold and set aside to cool.
  3. Pierce Embeds: Once the wax in the molds looks fully opaque (about 1-2 hours) very gently use a skewer to poke a hole down through the center of the wax flower for the wick.
  4. Prepare Base: Melt the remaining Soy Wax in your pitcher using the double boiler. Remove from heat at 185° F and gently stir in the remaining Fragrance Oil.
  5. Pour & Set Base: Secure your pre-waxed wicks to the bottom of your jars using wick stickers. Slowly pour the cooled wax into the jars leaving room at the top. Secure the wicks upright and let them cool undisturbed for 24 hours.
  6. Assemble & Trim: Carefully remove the wax flower toppers from the mold. Slide the flower piece down the wick until it sits flush on top of the base candle in the jar. Trim the wick to a quarter inch and allow the candle to cure for 3-5 days before labeling for retail!

Notes

Safety Warning: Always monitor melting wax and never leave an active heat source unattended.

Pro Tip: To avoid a frosting effect on the surface of your finished embeds preheat the silicone mold with a heat gun for just a few minutes until slightly warm to the touch. This helps create a perfectly smooth surface and allows the molded wax to pop out effortlessly!
