Ingredients
- Warm Milk or Distilled Water
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Saffron Strands
Equipment & Tools
- Heat-Safe Glass Bowl
- Microwave or Double Boiler
- Spatula
- Spray Bottle
Instructions
- Prep & Sanitize: Thoroughly sanitize your silicone soap mold spatulas and glass bowl with rubbing alcohol. If using real saffron strands as a garnish soak them in a tablespoon of warm milk for 10 minutes to release their color.
- Melt the Base: Cut 500g of the Goat Milk Soap Base into small uniform cubes. Place them in your heat-safe bowl and gently melt using a double boiler or in the microwave using short 30-second bursts until completely fluid.
- Infuse the Oils & Color: Remove the melted base from the heat. Stir in 1 teaspoon of Sweet Almond Oil to boost the moisturizing properties. Add a pinch of Wild Turmeric Powder and stir gently until the soap achieves a beautiful rich golden hue.
- Scent & Pour: Add 10 to 15 drops of Saffron Fragrance Oil to the mixture and stir slowly to ensure it is evenly distributed without creating excessive bubbles. Carefully pour the liquid soap into your silicone mold cavities.
- Set & Unmold: Immediately spritz the top of the poured soap with rubbing alcohol to pop any surface bubbles. Allow the soaps to cool and harden undisturbed for 2 to 3 hours. Once fully set pop them out of the silicone mold wrap them tightly to prevent glycerin dew and they are ready for retail!
Notes
Safety Warning: Always monitor melting soap bases closely to avoid boiling over and burning!
Pro Tip: Pre-mix your turmeric powder with a tiny splash of warm milk or rubbing alcohol before adding it to the melted soap base to completely prevent clumping and ensure a smooth even golden color.
