3. Cocoa Butter - Around 85 grams

Cocoa Butter will give the perfect smooth and comfortable texture to your DIY soap. It also nourishes dry and scaly skin and maintains the moisture level of your skin. Don’t use more than 15% of Cocoa Butter as it may lead to cracks in your soap.

Cold Process Soap Making Recipe For Sensitive Skin

Now that you know all the ingredients and equipment required for making soaps, let's learn how to make natural soap recipes for sensitive skin!

Cold process soap making for sensitive skin

Step 1: Start melting the butter and oils mentioned in the list of ingredients in a cooking pot.

Step 2: Blend the lye crystals with water. When lye crystals are mixed with water, the reaction makes the temperature of the mixture rise to 93-degree Celsius. Therefore, there is no need to heat this mixture separately. Slowly, the temperature starts falling but you may have to insert your container into cold water to cool it rapidly.

Step 3: Remove the fats and oils from the heat and add the lye mixture to the cooking pot when both the oils and lye mixture reach approximately 43-degree Celsius.

Step 4: Pour the content into the soap molds and allow them to set. Around 24 hours are enough for the soap to set but to cure them, you will have to wait for at least 4 weeks.

How to use it?

Once the soap is cured, remove it from the mold. As you are used to freezer paper, the soap will come out easily. Now, cut the soap into sizes and shapes that you prefer for your DIY handmade soaps.
