Know About Lavender Mint Candle Supplies

The combination of the mint's lively, cooling flavor and the relaxing floral lavender scent is a lovely sensation to have in your house. These candles burn bright and fragrantly. Read on to find out more about the ingredients that go into them.

Lavender Fragrance Oil
  • Lavender Fragrance Oil: Lavender is an anti-anxiety herb. Headaches can be less severe and occur less frequently when lavender-scented candles are used. Lavender and sleep work together to help avoid insomnia. It also has a relaxing effect.
Peppermint Essential Oil
  • Peppermint Essential Oil: With a fresh scent, peppermint is a fantastic addition to household basics like soaps, shampoos, and candles. The aroma is appealing and also helps in eliminating and reducing pungent odors. It's just as good at getting rid of creepy crawlies as it is at getting rid of fleas, which is a well-known advantage.
Soy Wax Flakes
  • Soy Wax Flakes: Soy wax is a sustainable natural resource for candle making. Soy wax is biodegradable and can be cleaned with just water and soap. In addition, soy candles burn slower and longer than paraffin candles because soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax.
  • Pre Waxed Candle Wicks: Wax Coated Candle Wicks may be used to manufacture a number of different types of candles. These cotton candle wicks emit very little smoke, making them perfect for household use.
  • Lavender and Peppermint Leaves: The scent and texture of the candles are enhanced by adding dried herbs to the melted wax during the candle-making process. Depending on your preferences, you can add as many herbs to your wax as you want.

How To Make Lavender Mint Candles - Step by Step

Now that you know all the safety precautions let's make our lavender and mint scented candles.

Step 1: Prepare Your Jar

To begin, get your jars ready for the melted soy wax. First, place the wick in the jar so that the weighted end of the wick contacts the jar's bottom. The wick should be centered, straight, and about an inch above the jar's top.

prepare your jar

To assist keep the weighted end in place, you can also apply a dab of hot glue to it. Clip the wick with a clothespin or wrap it around a pencil after it's in place. Place the clip or pencil at the jar's top. Pull the wick gently to straighten it out once again.

Step 2: Add The Herbs

Take your fresh herbs and make sure they're well cleaned and dried. Next, take the herbs and put them into the jar after they are clean and dry. Don't clog up the jar; 8-10 pieces of leaves per jar should suffice. Before adding the leaves, break them apart to release some oils and increase the aroma.

Step 3: Heat The Wax

The fun part begins now: heating the wax. Don't be alarmed by this section. Fill your cooking pot with 2 cups of soy wax flakes. Because this method can be messy and wax residue may remain in the pot, don't use an expensive pot.

melt the wax

Simply place 2 cups of soy wax flakes in the cooking pot and heat on low/medium for 5-6 minutes, or until the flakes are completely melted into a liquid. For 1 candle, two cups of flakes are sufficient. You can certainly add extra if you're making numerous candles or a larger batch.

Step 4: Pour The Wax

pour the wax

Very carefully, pour the liquid wax into your candle jars. We recommend using gloves for this step. Make sure the wick isn't knocked out of place. Next, fill the jars to within an inch of the wick. Never fill jars to the rim; instead, allow approximately an inch of room.

Step 5: Let It Cool

let it cool

Store your jars in a cool, dry location where they will not be disturbed. Over the following 24 hours, they will harden in this spot. During this period, avoid touching or moving them.

Step 6: Trim The Wick

trim wick

Remove the clip and trim the wick to about 1/4 inch above the wax once the wax has solidified. This makes it possible for you to securely ignite and burn your candle.
